Birthday Card for Mum

Having decided that I am not allowed to buy a birthday cards or celebration cards given the amount of craft material, tools, beads and buttons I own, here is the card I recently made for my mum’s birthday. Using metallic pens I bought from the 99p store in Hounslow, (oh the glamorous life I lead), I drew freehand flowers on some lovely thick 120 gsm paper and lined the inside with some pink sugar paper.

I think the effect is quite good with the various metallic tones, I am definitely looking to improve my freehand skills so will keep practicing. I will post up the present I made this weekend, some painted fish to hang on the Christmas Tree. Sounds random, but they look lovely and made a thoughtful gift!

Happy Friday Everyone. x
